Sunava

Terms of service

Effective 7 November 2026. These terms cover the Sunava website (sunava.app) and the Sunava apps (the "service"). By using the service you agree to these terms.

The service

Sunava is a virtual temple where people come in together to bow, meditate and make offerings. You can use it free of charge without an account. Sunava does not speak for any Buddhist order or temple and promises no religious effect.

Accounts

An account is optional and is needed for Sunava Pro. Accounts are made by signing in with Google or Apple; please use only your own. You can delete your account at any time from the Account · Pro menu in the app or browser.

Keeping the rooms quiet

A room is a quiet space shared by many people. Please do not:

If you do, we may remove your name or offerings, take you out of a room, or limit your use of the service.

What you write

You own what you write, such as your name and wishes. You allow us to store it and show it to people in the same room as far as running the service requires. How we handle information is set out in the privacy policy.

Rights

The screens, art, sounds and code of the service belong to Sunava or their owners. Please do not copy or distribute them beyond personal use.

Changes to the service

The service keeps improving: features may change, and it may pause for maintenance. If we ever have to end the service, we will say so in advance.

Limits of liability

The service is provided as is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for losses not caused by our intent or gross negligence. Nothing in these terms limits the rights consumer law gives you.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change we update this page and its effective date, and we announce important changes in the service in advance. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
